Jackie Beaudoin

Originally from Belleville Ontario, Jackie brings her small town charm to the City of Ottawa.

I found yoga in my twenties, initially as a form of exercise,  but over time progressed into so much more. I’m full of fire, a fast moving pitta, walk fast, talk fast, do a million things in one day kind of gal.  Yoga slows me down!   I’m more grounded, mindful, less reactive, patient, and balanced because of yoga.  Living in the moment is my specialty, and yoga is exactly that.  Slowing down to connect with life, thoughts, feelings, and emotions.  I love running yoga retreats because I love sharing my passions and encouraging other to invest in themselves, either by slowly down or speeding up, and creating new friendships and enjoying life. Don't we all just want to have a good time with great people?!

Carpe Diem – Seize the Day are words to live by!

As a top producing real estate agent and a hockey mom of 3 boys, balance is a necessity, and carving out time for myself is a non negotiable.  Things I love - travel, workouts, hot yoga, loud music, spin classes, outdoors, biking, snowboarding, wake boarding, camp fires, coffee, good food, dog snuggles, home decor, and lots of laughs.

In a society that thrives on hustle and places a great emphasis on busyness  and success, it is maybe now more than ever, crucial for our health to pause and make the decision to connect to our bodies in a non-judgemental and curious way.   To commit to movement and listening to understand our own bodies and our approach to how we are living our lives.

With years of experience both as a student and teacher, I’ve developed a great passion for yoga and it’s ability to enhance our journey of well-being and happiness.  As a Yoga medicine Therapeutic registered specialist, and lover of learning, my teaching comes from a researched and studied place.
I would be honoured and humbled to share it with you.

The purpose of yoga and my teaching is ultimately about providing a space where you can feel safe and supported to explore with your own experience to help you move mindfully, efficiently and sustainably through life.

My yoga practice began over 20 years ago when I was told it would help heal my lower back issues. Since then, not only did I feel stronger physically, but mentally as well. Yoga has opened my mind along with heart and has had a calming effect in my daily life. It has taught me so much about myself, about life and about the people around me and has made me more aware of the choices I make. These days, the true gift of yoga has given me the ability to listen and not always react. Being a full-time mom to four busy kids, yoga has helped me maintain a balanced attitude in my day-to-day life.

My classes are known for creative, intelligent sequencing and thoughtful attention to detail. I teach with a playful and nurturing approach that welcomes students of all levels, offering both challenge and support in a balanced way. I strive to create a joyful, inclusive atmosphere where students feel safe to explore and grow. I weave together yoga philosophy, pranayama, meditation, and mindful movement to create a practice that is both grounded and transformative.
